What to Expect
How does this all work anyway?
Great question! I heard a fantastic analogy once that really helped me to understand what was happening with me. I would like to paraphrase and tell you that analogy now.
We all have cell phones, televisions, computers or radios. All of those devices work by attuning to a frequency, a vibration or a signal in order to work. It might be the radio station, the internet or the tv channel. We sort of take for granted that a tv will just "pick up a signal" and play the station that we want to watch, when we want to watch it. But the truth is, that TV is tuning in to a signal, unscrambling that signal and relaying the information to you. That is exactly how I work. I tune in to the signal, unscramble it and relay the information back to you.
Here's what I know for sure:
We are all souls having a human experience.
I am having a soul-to-soul "conversation" with your loved ones.
I clear my energy and become one with all that is (just your average Tuesday). In stillness, I sense your loved ones and spirit guides, and they relay messages to you, through me. I blend my energy with theirs, and receive impressions, images, memories and feelings. Sometimes I hear things, sometimes I see things, sometimes I can smell perfume or cigars...and sometimes I just have a knowing or a feeling of the spirit, and what they would like to say to you. I am blending with energy and reporting what I get.
I think of this process as learning a new language.
I am learning a new language called, "soul language". I am not fluent in soul language - yet (not sure I ever really will be!) and each soul has their own language. It is more like a game of charades. I work together with spirit, and my guides, to decode the language and deliver a meaningful message to you, their loved one. You should know that spirit has never let me down. When I get out of my ego mind and let go, I will deliver the feelings and impressions that I am getting, and everyone will be happy:)
I too am a soul living a human experience.
This human makes mistakes. I am learning in this lifetime to be vulnerable and wrong. I really, I mean really like being right (as I have mentioned, just ask my husband). I am convinced that spirit said "Hey! Check out this chick on earth that really likes to be right. Let's start using her to connect to our loved ones so she has to be completely vulnerable and willing to make mistakes in order to let our messages come through and be meaningful, and bring peace and joy to complete strangers! That sounds fun!"
So, here I am, in service of spirit.
Knowing I will not be 100% accurate every time. Knowing that this work is often met with skepticism. Knowing I will have friends and family members who will not understand what I do, and think I am a complete weirdo. And also knowing that I will only be able to deliver messages of love and peace and comfort, if I say yes and show up as a medium.
The more open we both are to receiving messages from spirit, the better the experience will be. Meditating before our session is an amazing way to prepare. If you have never meditated before, try these simple steps:
1. Find a quiet space and simply get still.
2. Imagine yourself flooded with love and/or light for 1-2 minutes. Ask your loved ones to show up.
That’s it! You did it. This is all you really need to do. In fact, it's all any of us need to do. Every day. We should all do this every day. :)
Spirit truth-bomb: I have also realized that spirit is actually the client.
They are coming through for a reason. There is a reason you are here, a reason that you have happened upon this website, and a reason why you are reading all of this. Spirit is trying to connect with you through me! When we trust in the process--beautiful, amazing things will happen.
Pro-tip:
I will probably not know the secret code you have with your grandma/mom/uncle/bff, so please do not put yourself through the agony of waiting to hear it TRUST me, I would LOVE to get the code. (I like to be right, remember?) And like you, I don't know why they won't just tell me the damn code. But …. they might one day!
